Making the trade?

In about a 6 months or so when I find out if I am accepted/not into the USMMA, my parents and I have discussed getting me a 'safer' Jeep, if there is such . I would replace it with a 07 Rubicon Unlimited(the 4dr, I dont know what they're calling them now) with auto trans(I want the stick but just cant swing it since my mom cant drive stick, my bro cant and autos are just good trans's now adays). Any other options to get? I would order/get it with the side airbags and hard/soft top option but is there anything else to get with it? Just thinking down the road a bit...still yet to drive one yet, hoping to test one out in a couple of weeks. I think it'll be interesting considering I've been driving my TJ since 2004 and almost drive it exclusively(the volvo is my brothers).

The JK's have really grown on me and I dont think I could ever trade out my Jeep for anything else than another . This JK would be staying stock though, atleast until after I graduate college.

Do they offer it in Maroon?

Get the X and put the other six thousand dollars in a savings account. You'll have that capital plus 20 bucks a month interest to use on upgrades over the next 5 to 10 years.

If your finance can handle it, get a Rubi. Too bad you're not getting the 2DR. Auto would be a better choice for 4-wheeling. Anyway, what's the USMMA?

United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point NY. Professional fishermen school. I kid I actually do a lot of work in Kings Point, really rich area, and I could hit a 5-iron to the throgs neck bridge from some of my client's houses.

www.usmma.edu

It's the 5th Military Academy in the country(other than the obvious navy/army/airforce/coast guard). It's truely this countrys hidden jewel. I JUST got my nomination there yesterday, so I'm completely set now, just waiting on the YES(hopefully not no ) from them.

BTW home early on a friday because of JNROTC tommorow.

Its between the Jeep and a Volvo S40(Slate Gray with T5 and AWD, most likely auto too) or a S60R(with stick). Have to drive the Jeep though, going to try to in the next couple weeks.

Kings Point is really nice though, amazing houses in that area, been there twice so far along with SUNY Maritime which you MUST be familiar with. BTW if I get in there, I'd like to thank you all for helping pay my tuition because as it is one of the Academys, its FREE!!!!
