Well rear upper mounts can suck it. Putting in some heavier duty ones...

Should be done soon.

Ok well decided to sack up and finally start putting my jeep knowledge to the test. I am in the process of getting a set of dana 60s. The front is a High pinion ford and the rear is a d60 from a dodge. I will be ditching my current axles and all that stuff. I will be doing a double triangulated rear and 3 link front. It will be on 40s and stretched somewhere between 105-110" wheelbase. This will be my first decent sized build and a big learning step for me. I just told my buddy I would buy one of his sets of axles so it may be a bit before I get started on this little project. I need to sell my tires, rims, axles and such before I can really go nuts. I probably wont update much more until I can start getting into it. Will keep everyone posted!

Wow that's amazing. I have have a friend that just completed a 60 swap a few months ago, he said the only thing he didn't like about the Dodge rear is he had to weld the brake brackets on himself for the calipers instead of Ford where it would be pretty much a bolt on. He's also debating switching to a Ford rear. He uses uses a 3 link front and rear which so I see no issues with your front. He's also running 14" travel ori's. Also I can't remember where he got his gears? But he's at 15k with no issues and the 5.38s were only like $200 sorry for the rambling, Im bit excited to see this

Damn, It's on now. Do you think the rear 60 is up to handling 40s? I've seen quite a few guys say that it isnt all that strong and you should go with a 14 bolt...

dodges may have tone rings already in them, thatd be a plus, but im not sure yet. as for the brakes that no big deal and costs about 30 bucks for the bracket. i wont have any clearance issues unless i tried a double tri front. I will have to have the front 3 link onthe passenger side though. Im going to try and fit 16" coilovers in this. I will have alot of welding cutting to do and will have to get a fuel cell also. If i spend over 5-6k to start ill **** a brick. No way i will go near 15k.

as for the 60 being stong enough i worried also. All the buggies here beat on them with 40s and 42s and have no problems, but they have buggies not a fat *** jk. Im hoping its fine once i get chromo shafts. I debated a 14b but this was a good deal and I dont have to go pull one. Also on a 14b id want 42s to help clearance the dif size difference. I dont want to mess with shaving it on my first bit axle swap/jeep build. I am still contemplating just running 37s or 38s also, not sure on that yet though.

He's from Virginia, used to do some major mud bogging including owning two deuce and a halfs and now is a supervisor at sikorsky. He's only running 30 spline for now and has no worries. He also beats on his rig pretty badly. He isn't on here because he was hounded for not running 35 spline. I think his entire build is on JK owners. But not sure. He's also on instagram. If you ask me he knows what he's doing. He said he'd go to a 14 bolt or d80, but only after a 5.3 vortec swap. Sorry thought I was replying to maertz lol

Seems solid. His only regret is not going 16"
