LOW tire pressure warning....
Was traveling the WA / OR "gorge" this weekend when decided after a concert to head up to Goldendale Observatory and see the stars...The Observatory is up a bit of elevation and was maybe 10~ish degrees cooler (about 60'F vice 70' down in the Dalles). Got up to there and low tire pressure lite came on just as I parked after an hour ride up. Restarted engine after an hour and still got the LP lite, visual check of all 5 tires was fine, drove down and lite was off after about 30~ mins and didn't reappear. Got home and rechecked tires w/ accurate gauge and All 5 were still @ 35.5-36.0 lbs at 70'F (cold after overnight) ...just the same pressures as I started trip.
Wasn't pressed against any curbs, potholes etc., and the ride was fine too. No visual problems after checking today
thoughts of this gremlin?

Probably had a tire that dropped below the pressure threshold from the cooler air. If I remember right the sensors trip below 37PSI. I wouldn't worry about it.

pressure recommended on the JK Sport IS 35 lbs COLD so I imagine the sensor/lite is set lower, maybe around high 20's perhaps(?) and a 10'F temp change and some altitude shouldn't set it in the description I gave but, that "in combo" was my thought of why. Wasn't worried as much as curious....street driving I find that 36-37 lbs is wearing tires nice/good mpg but ride doesn't justify any more pressure over 37~...

I had my sensor go of a couple of times for no apparent reason. It was very hot out at the time. One time it was on for two days. Of course I checked the tire pressure and everything was fine. I just mark it as a glitch. I still think it’s a very good system to have. I like it.

10* outside temp shouldn't make a difference. I would just keep an eye on the pressures and if you don't see the light again in the next month or so, just forget it.

I'm afraid the sys is a PITA
I just set mine to "0", so now I get NO chimes and NO lights
I set it because I've got wheels on, with no xmitters inem !!

My low pressure light came on this morning. Had all my tires at about 32-33psi, one was actually at about 31psi. I went ahead and bumped all of them up to 35psi and drove home from work, about 30 miles, with no problems with the light any longer.

I keep mine at 37psi hot, and my OEM TPMS is set at 35.
During the winter, -10 to 10*F, they can come on when it sits overnight, but driving it for a few minutes sends the light away.
(there's also the air compressor option)

Mine has come on 5-6 times and it's never been because the pressure was low. I carry a guage and check each time but haven't had anything other than a false reading yet.

Is the "Warning pressure lite" adjustable to the temp it comes on? (w/o a programmer?)

--The TPMS sys. doesn't measure temperature, it's based on tire air pressure !

It's not adjustable--without an external chip

Heh Heh, well you're kinda right anyway, the higher the temp--the higher the air pressure and vicey/versey !!
