Looking for pictures of 2 door JK's with 2.5 in lift from the side

Hello all,

I have been looking extensively for the best set up for my new 2013 2 dr Rubicon. I have narrowed it down to a 2.5 in lift. I now want to decide on which tires/wheels I should have. Do I keep the stock wheels and tires and add spacers? Do I remove the tires from the stock wheels and add bigger tires? Or do I get new tires and wheels?

Having 2 door JK pictures with a 2.5 in lift from the side would help greatly.

Thank you in advance!

do a search, there are several show threads with tons of photos. Read the stickies as well. They will answer just about any question you have about wheels and lifts. Tire size and suspension set up will determine what wheel bs you need.

If you learned something new today, you had a good day.

I'm Running 2" spacers and springs off a 4 door this set up gave me about 2.5" of lift after I added the extra weight of bumper, winch ,skids etc.

Running on 285/75R16's Cooper S/T's on 16x8 procomp wheels

2.5 RC BB with shock, sway bar and and track bar extensions. 315/75/16 Kumho KL71's on Strike 8 Level 5's 16X8.5" 4.5" backspace all bought at Discount Tire (~$2k).

I have since added my Ace sliders, Body Armor bumper and Engo winch. So far very comfortable on road and functions great offroad.

Your setup looks good. Plenty of clearance between the top of your tires and the fenders. Thanks.

Cool. Which rims are those? I don't recall seeing them anywhere.

Rock Krawler 2.5" Max Travel lift, with 37x12.50R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers.
Black Rock Viper 900 17" wheels(4.5" back spacing), SpiderTrax 1.5" wheel spacers (need these for the 37" tires so they don't rub the lower control arms). So, now effectively only 3" of back spacing on wheels.
Bumpers have been replaced and winch added since these pics were taken.
Fenders have been trimmed into flatties since first pic was taken (gives another 1.5" of clearance).

Fenders trimmed into flatties:

Flexes very well on 37's with only 2.5" lift:

2008 2-dr Rubicon, auto,
RK 2.5" Max Travel, Rancho 9000XL shocks, 37" Nittos, 5.38's, RR skids, Warn VR8000-S.
RIPP Gen 2 Stg 2 Supercharger.

Nice pics, couldn't tell they were taken by a cell. At least you have action shots of your JK. I'm always too busy taking pics of everyone else's Jeep in action that I forget about my own, LOL. Finally bought a GoPro last week. Hope to have some good footage next time off-road.
