Locker help

I have 2009 Rubi. Auto. Upgraded gears to 488's
Next day put it into 4wheel low. Locked front/rear. Unlocked- front licker light stays blinking. I turned it off. Waited, drove backwards a bit, disconnected battery for 10 min. Nothing helped Any ideas??

Are the electrical plugs installed back into the diff housings? If they are and the lockers aren't working, take it back to the installer. That's what you paid them for.

There is a locking wire and a sensor wire, maybe the sensor wire is loose or not connected properly.

It seems to happen quite often with the regear and front locker-

Mine has doneit several times--as luck would haveit--mine never stayed blinking after I cyced the locker switch 4/5 times --ign on touch bottom of the sw.Rear locker light flashes, touch top of button, front locker light flashes-turn ign off--repeat 4/5 times and see if that fixes it, (no lights), if not----back to the shop that did the regearing-

You don't have to be in 4lo to cycle the locker circuit--leaveit in 2hi, the lockers and lights go solid only in 4lo, without the relay modification-

Good luck-

Nope that didn't work either. Driving it won't hurt? Correct? It's just a blinking light?

Well, going by the manual, yes the blinking light means it's not LOCKED, but

Before I drove any/many miles I'd insure the front end isn't locked-

If you can make full left/right turns (low speed) without the steering wheel doing gyrations-it's OK-but I'd get back to that shop soon, if the light doesn't just fade away anyway--mine has and thats been years/w everything still locking up great1

I wonder if they guys that wrote the manual ever wheeled a Jeep?

Mine tends to lock alot easier than unlock. depending on terrain. But when its locked and you set it to unlock it will blink until it is unlocked. so in this case blinking means still locked. You can feal it. once the ligt goes out then its unlocked. If its unlocked and you try to lock it, if it keeps blinking its not locked until the light is solid.

I wonder if the system blinks if a fault has happened. Like the wires in the dif are rather thin and known to break off the electromagnetic clutch in time or if installed wrong/harsh.

This is what it says in my Owner's Manual:

"NOTE: The indicator lights will flash until the axles are
fully locked or unlocked."

This means it will flash whenever the locker is in a position different from what has been requested.

Mine is pretty well used, so after 2 years, of the regear, the dash lights will blink for several seconds-forward movement a few feet---then solid-after hitting both ends of the sw.

When I hit to unlock, they'll both blink for 10 to 20 feet, then "all gone"-

They are, kinda like I said earler, just like a wife, can't live withem/can't live withoutem !
