Line-X'd Your JK Tub?

Has anyone Line-X'd their JK tub yet? I am looking at getting my 4 door Rubi done, and curious as to what it is costing everyone.

Thanks!

Chris

i've wondered about the line-x also. If your not to picky you can just buy that roll on bedliner stuff too, its not as thick, but still seals up all the cracks and makes it waterproof. ive done this on several cars ive restored and it works great, planning on that for my Sahara also... i think it was about 20 bucks for a big can.

I had mine LineX'd. Absolutely LOVE it. I think it was right around 850, if I remember right.

Personally I'd leave the Herculiner to the Older Jeeps. It is Super Nasty stuff to work with and to do it right you have to GUT your jeep... I mean Completely GUT it and leave it to dry for 1-2 days once its done.

For a Jeep worth $20K - $35K I think its worth the $$$ to have it done professionally along with the fact that they can adjust the texture to whatever you want... Herculiner is a lot tougher to put on evenly. I've seen more than one Herculined Jeep that said DIY all over it and not in a good way. Once its Herculined it is forever.

$850 isn't too bad, looks like they did a super clean job on your Jeep.

850 doesn't seem bad for a pro job. Did you have to strip everything out before taking it to the shop or did they take care of all that? In the third pic you posted it looks like they went right over the caulking on the floor (heat or noise proofing stuff, I'm not sure what it's for). How is that holding up in those areas?

Yes-- I dropped it off as-is, and they did all of the prep work, and removal.

The stuff on the floor...... they asked me what I wanted done with it, and I figured it was there for a reason, so I left it, and they lined right over the top of it. It is completely sealed in, and not 'soft'. It's holding up just as perfectly as the rest of it.

i also had my JK tub sprayed with ameriguard. i got it for very chep, but i work at a dealer and sell a lot of bedliners for them so they hooked me up. they said they would charge $750 - 1000. they really didn't like all the prep work even after i removed the interior. lots of tape time.

Hmm, I thought you pulled everything - $850 with prep is a good deal. Where did you go, the Line-X shop in Kirkland?

Yup. It was at ECT and they had the Kirkland shop do it. I'm pretty darn sure it was right around $850. I didn't pull a thing before it went in.

Thanks!

Srtpusher and ge2, those pics rock! I figured it would cost more than truck that I have had done in the past, but $850ish isn't all that bad.

Mrcrwly...I did use Herculiner on an old 91 YJ that I used to have. I turned out nice, but I hated the way that it felt on bare feet. I had Line-X in my former truck and loved it. Plus...I just don't have them time to do it myself.

Looks awesome line x, can you still fit carpet over it or is there no room to do it now. Also hows the sound and heat. I got a quote 650.00 and 850.00 If i have it colored matched. IS IT WORTH IT!!!! I THINK SO!!!!

I've never tried to put my carpet back in (I threw it away), so I can't help with that. Sound is better than with carpet. Heat? Not sure, but I drive around in shorts and flip flops all the time and have never had warm legs or feet.
