hmm so the gutter mounts work on the front?

I have gutter mounts for my van and could just swap them over to the jeep...

It does look much better in the back though..

My Jeep does not fit in my garage with the rack on it. I usually move one of my motorcycles into the Jeep space to remind me the rack is on. (keeps me from driving into the garage)

One day I forgot, got distracted.....anyway, I drove into the garage with the rack on, rocket box, ski rack with 2 pair of skis.

Here is the TOTAL damage. Nothing was not damaged that was not pictured. The rack bent, broke off one of the gutter mounts.

The ONLY thing that happened to the Jeep is this scratch in the hardtop. I already owned the track mount rack so I converted to it. I did find another bar and mount for my gutter mount rack, so it is usable now too.

I post this as proof as to the strength of the rain gutters on the JK.

good to see the rain gutters are strong.

I will see how everything from my van fits on the JK

they are the extra high foot packs so it might look a little stupid..

Hey Cole, I use the same Yakima cross bars & ski rack assy. as yours. I too have it on the gutter rail. But... I want to do tracks like yours (long, flat black tracks screwed directly into the roof) shown above. Where did you buy the tracks and towers that slide into the tracks?

When I go to Yakima.com, they are very vague with their pisspoor CAD simulation drawings. I would like to see real pictures of each piece... Also, they seem to be outlandishly expensive just for the track parts.

Help!

BTW... The Jeep is lookin great with that fancy alum. bumper

I got the tracks at "Rack Attack". My neighbor gave me the track mounts off a wrecked car that came into his shop.

I had the towers and the bars.

I actually traded a buddy a complete tower and bar set up for his Audi for the tracks. (we went over there and he bought them for me).

Some of my Yakima stuff is 25+ years old. It LASTS very well. But I would look on craigslist for most of it. I could not find used tracks since most of the time those that get installed stay with the vehicle.

Thanks! Will def do. My gutter rack assy. was a freebie gift from Grampas old VW. I really like your track system.

Before and after with Rough Country 2.5" coils.

(I know it needs bigger tires now).

finally the seats are going in. also matching rear seats have been located, bought, and shipping to the shop.

they are a bit taller than the stock seats.

even rear passengers are treated to toasty buns and power adjust.
