So, are the RE monotube shocks weak? Looks like both of you went with Bilsteins, which is always a good choice. That company has been around forever.

I've talked to a couple personal friends that had multiple blowouts on thiers. They also told me how much better the ride is for the bilsteins.

I've ne er actually encountered RE shocks so I don't know. I just figured I'd go right the first time.

I got my kit from RE and they sent me the Bilsteins, maybe they were out of theirs... I did NOT complain. I haven't heard anything bad about the RE shocks, but I am loving the set up I have right now.

I have not re-geared or used any flashpaq type device yet. I plan to get a flashpaq to recalibrate the speedo for the bigger tires and hopefully get some power back as well. I don't plan on re-gearing. I have the manual 6 speed, and although its more sluggish than it was before the bigger tires, I can still use 6th gear on the highways. Some people will tell you without re-gearing or a computer update (flashpaq or AEV) that you can forget about using 6th gear. Not true. Gas mileage definitely suffers, but its not unbearable to drive by any means.

I haven't added any spring spacers to the front to level it off...YET, but I have them, and when I get a spare few hours, I'll be adding 3/4 of an inch to the front.

still a long ways to go.. need rear bumper, rock rails, winch, and tube fenders. I got the 34/1050 super swamper ltb's. they are plain awesome offroad and in mud.. but as i was expecting, suck on the road and are wearing badly... have tread seperation on one already. SO prob not doin that again. Need to get more action pics...

4" Rough Country lift (working well, rear shocks started leaking but they sent out some new ones (it does ride a bit stiff)

Here is mine. 4 inch Ranck lift, 35 inch Nitto Desert Grappers, 18inch Teflon rims. Have a huge wish list, abd a small bank account, but a ProCal is comming soon.....I hope.

comparison of old to new tires sorry for the bad cell phone pic
31s to 33.5 and the width is 12.3

new tires are Nitto terra grapplers 295/75/16 and the rims are cragar
i know most people on here dont really like nitto terra grapplers but they ride surprisingly well and handle well in the rain, (got my buddy to get the same set up first and tested it on his ride lol )

I have some flat, narrow Xenons to install. Still needs some wheels and a little more lift. I need to build a winch bumper, but this is how it sits right now.
