Would you guys believe that each state has a height limit for vehicles? In other words, bumpers can not be more than ______ inches from the ground. It varies from state to state.

And since I don't want to take away from this thread... (no, it's NOT mine):

Specs are: MOPAR 2 1/2 Inch lift kit, Black steelies, 35" tires BFG AT, MOPAR offroad bar and MOPAR off road lights.

Sitting in your Jeep does NOT count as a mod!

Yes, but there is no bumper law here in TX. But there is a min/max height of headlights, taillights, and fog lights

Yep, N2rock, you're right. Different states have different laws regarding vehicle mods.

"broken headlight" and "broken taillights" are extremly good reasons to pull someone over...pulling someone over because you 'think' their vehicle may be equipped with a third brake light is another story. anyways...

Yep.

Being in the military we hear about DUI's a lot. Also get stories behind the DUI's.

One of the most recent ones the guy initially got pulled over because the officer thought his Jeep bumper might be too far off the ground. Guy had been driving the Jeep that way for 3 years. But this time around he happened to be driving at O dark thirty in the morning, and the officer found a reason to stop him. My guess, is had he not been drunk, he probably would have been sent on his way with a warning at most.

It's just something to keep in mind. Chances are you might not be within state laws on certain parts of your vehicle and you'll be left alone. If you are driving around after dark, it's a different story and you'd better hope you haven't been drinking.

Anyway, I love your Jeep. I wish we had those bumpers & diesel. Rescue Green Sahara is my favorite color/model combo. I love that look (modest modest modest)
