As big a turd as mine was, I loved my YJ too (1990).

Don't worry about doing anything to it...just take it out and enjoy it. They're perfectly capable bone stock. With your lift and tires, you're set for the stuff that won't break you

Who are you kidding that that 10a was bought for your wife?? I'm in the same boat. Mid July we bought a 10a and my excuse was it was for my wife. I'm up in the air what size lift we are going to put in it. It's going to be a DD for my wife while the build is going on. Currently thinking 3.5" with 35's. More/stronger skid plates throughout. I'm 45 mins (at most) from the Rubicon Trail and the build will be for it often.

Picked it up stock last week:

Got the 2.5" AEV Dualsport, 17" Enkei RT6 wheels and 35" Fierce M/Ts done this week. Hoping to get my T&T Adventure Steps put on this weekend:

Glad to be back in a Jeep after selling Panda a few months ago

You know Jesus wasn't married. No wife lets you come home after three days with the excuse "I was dead".

No joke! I've been trying to convince her for years that we should buy one. I finally gave up. Suddenly she got the idea that "we" needed one. She drives it daily while I rattle around in my YJ.

I wrench endlessly on the old YJ. We allowed friends at 4 wheel parts to lightly build this one. Compared to the YJ my wife was not happy at 2.5" so we added the .75 spacers. We flexed it on the loading dock (hence the photo), so I could check the front drive line. In that photo the front shaft is still an inch away from the exhaust without exhaust spacers. The joint at the tcase doesn't look bad either. Driver's front could droop a little more and the driver's rear is sitting on the bump stop. I think it will work well on moderate trails. On harder trails, we have the YJ to abuse....... for now.

Seriously liking the anvil color; looks nice and balanced - excellent.

Great looking rig. Be forewarned, if you drive that in Utah, you'll possibly get stopped for tires extending beyond fender flares. I've had some helpful discussions with UHP troopers about that. And, I have the big old Bushwacker fender flares. Something about the first grove in the tire extending beyond the horizontal edge of the fender flare? If someone knows the exact wording, please help here.
