I've got 33" on mine. Its not too bad. Plenty of tire to ride the trails or off the trails.

2012 sahara unlimited lift kit?

I just bought this jeep and I want to put a 3.5 lift kit on it with 35 x12.50 x 18 tires on it. I live in nj so I'm gonna use in on highway and sand. Does anyone have any recommendations for me on this lift and any add on I need to make so it doesn't mess up my drivetrain. I know the warranty will be shot when I do this but I hope that jeep is still making top quality vehicles. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have a 3 inch with 35ish tires. Works well here in jersey. There is really no need to go higher as the wheeling in NJ is not that extreme. I did stagg hill and 3 was just right. I have even rubbed a few trees with the hard top for being too tall as some trails are tight. If you are using as DD I would stay lower than 3.5. 18 inch tires are expensive. May want to look at smaller diameters.

My 2 cents.

2008 JKUS Banks Monster, 4.88 G2 Gears, PureJeep Rocker Guards, AEV Savegre w/315/70/17 Duratracs, Body Armor Rear w/Tire carrier, Teraflex 3" with Bilsteins, Rough Country Bumper with Engo 10K install, Evo sleeves and gussets, oh yeah and Flat Fenders.

It is a XRC M.O.D. bumper with midwidth end covers. Here are afew more pics. 2.5" Lift with 35's will work. If you are going to be doing alot of flexing i would probably go with a 3.5" or higher. On my 3.5" i went out and disconnected by swaybar and was pretty easy getting my tire entirely up in the fender and even rubbed the fender pretty bad.

Just bought a 2012 JKU Rubicon. Just emailed jeep for my build sheet to see if it came with 4:10s or 3:73s. I know manual trans comes with 4:10s automatically. But automatics it's an option to come with 4:10s. And if that's true, I don't see it on my window sticker in the options list. I'll be pissed if it came with 3:73s.
I plan on puttin 35"s on it maybe fall or spring time and I see everyone running 5:38s is that for the increase in tire size, or better mpgs and power?? Can I get away with 4:10s with 35"s if I even have them ? Lol

On the 2011 Rubicons here in the south. It was standard 4.10's no matter if manual or automatic. As far as the 5.38's go I have read and heard from other that this will help with my MPG and power. When i got the 35's i noticed a loss in power and MPG. While in overdrive i notice it kicking in and out constantly and even shifting down into 2nd gear on a medium incline. But you will not suffer as i do. You have about 80 to 90 more HP with the new engine. If you do re-gear in the future you may only need 4.88's or 5.13's. But i would get on the forum before you do so and verify with other 2012 owners who have re-geared already to get there advice and experience.

Unfortunately my Rubi came with 3:73s....
Really upsetting, but I knew in the future even with 4:10s I would have to re-gear to something like 4:88s or 5:13s.

Maybe when you get your 35's your jeep will run like mine does with 4.10's since you have the extra horses. Mine is not absolutely terrible right now but I just want to have a some more power and not to be in and out of OD all the time while on a highway.
