Yeah I am 6'2" and still gotta grab the wheel and pull my self up and in!
I am thinking of replacing my existing rock rails with a setup that has a step attached to the rock rails. Might help a little.

Yup that's a whole foot on me. I need to get rails with steps just so I can lift it and not break my neck. Just wish the ones I want were cheaper. What ones do you think you'll get? Oh and did you have to replace your driveshafts yet?

I am looking at the Smittybilt SRC Body Armor Rails.
Actually I had a couple shops check out my driveshaft angles and suprisingly they are fine. Should get a lot of miles on it before having to worry about it. But I do plan on an upgrade to those maybe next year, or if they break.

Cool I dig the Smittybilts. That's awesome to hear about your driveshafts as I worry about just putting a 2.5" lift on mine after reading about people tearing their boots on their automatics. But you probably have a manny.

crypnite - Sweet rubi! Did you use the light duty or heavy duty springs? Did you take any before/after measurements? One last question ... add any trackbars or relocation brackets?

In regards to the "lift"...I got OME (Old Man Emu) HD coils, TF shock extenders (I was truly surprised by how BEEFY these things are, full confidence in them) to keep my stock Rubi shocks and I moved my rear swaybar links up front and got a set of Currie ones for the back (that I've been too lazy to cut and install).

I was not expecting as much lift as I got, all told I believe I netted about 3.5". This will change once bumpers, winches, bigger spare, etc get put on, but for now it's a little funny with the 32" tires.

Other than that I have made no other changes. I'm a little concerned about the brake lines, and the brackets are cheap, so probably going to get those soon. No other brackets or anything (rear track bar damn made me cry putting it back in, though).

One thing I want to note...my commute to work is about 2 miles each way with a max speed of 35mph (just driving on base). The only time I really "travel" is to and from off-roading, consisting of about 1h30m on road driving max speed 70mph about 2x a month. Not sure if that makes any difference, but just wanted to throw it out there.
