Lift Kits Require Drive Line Modifications?

Do all 4-inch lift kits require drive line modifications? What are driveline yokes? I am getting a 4-door Rubicon and was looking at a Tuff Country lift that states I should get longer drive lines of I plan on off-roading.

Please teach me.

The old rule of thumb with the TJ's was that 3"+ of lift should have some driveline changes. With the JK having even longer driveshafts I'd wager the new rule of thumb is going to be 4"+ of lift before needing driveline mods.

I went with a 2" spacer lift and 1" body lift not to save money - but to ensure I'd stress my driveline as little as possible.
