KC Slims won't tighten
Hi everyone, well for being an easy installation I'm getting my rear end handed to me. I installed the first KC Slimlite and tighten in down, but after a really snugged it down it still is not secure. The light still moves from side to side...is this normal or is it suppose to be tight where it wont move? If so, I cant get it tight enough....any suggestions.....

Yeah they aren't supposed to move, lol. I can't imagine how they wouldn't tighten. It's just 3 bolts... the two on the sides and the one on the bottom. If it's just one that won't tighten then I'm guessing it's a problem with the threads. If both won't, then I'm guessing you're just doing it wrong.

I had to tighten my bottom nut enough to bascially flatten the lock-washer. I tried it without smashing the living bejesus out of it, but it kept wiggling in the wind and everything. Annoyed me to no end, so I squished it. Did the same on the sides because they would tilt back at highway speeds.

they're supposed to move. not alot, but enough so you can adjust them. unless you get out and move them by hand, then they should be stationary.

Wait, so you didnt tighten the screws all the way? If not, then of course the lights are going to have play because they are not tightened down.

Wow...now I feel real dumb. I always was under the impression that lock washers didn't need to be tightened all the way to work correctly. No one ever told me, I just sort of thought if you flattened them, then they became just like any other washer. Thanks though.
