the heck you can't. It's not voltage that shocks, it's amperage. But you're right, on a car circuit there isn't enough amperage to do any more than a very light sting.

Maybe so, but for the most part of my adult life (adult?) I was a mechanic and asst. engineer and never got shocked with 12volts. Not saying you havenít, just that I never have. I guess I stand corrected.

im going to guess that you couldnt get the spare out because there were moving parts in the way of you getting it out or getting a screwdriver in there now

You got lil' 1222 stuck in the door jamb and your arms are too short to reach the manual lock mechanisms?

The screw you drilled punched into the second key hitting the locking mechanism.

Ok, here goes. As I slid my arm and chest across the front seat to insert the key, there was a static shock when the key made contact with the ignition switch. The horn beeped and the doors locked. It was a pretty little bluish spark.

Game over.

Thanks people, I had fun.

One was about the spare key; the other was about how did the doors get locked without pushing the button.

The funny part of this story is.......
After you heard the horn beep and the doors lock, YOU SHUT THE DOOR AND LOCKED YOURSELF OUT!!!

That sucked dude, the answer could have been my key got struck by lightning, and people would have been just as close as they are now to guess the correct answer.

I like the unzipping window option on the soft tops.
