just ordered the viper TB DYNO RESULT in later post

Hey everyone...I know theres been a ton of controversy over this part. As I save up for sc and headers...I figure what the crap. Lets try it. I did review a thread on one of the forums that supposedly showed a dyno with this part yielding like 20hp or so. So this thread is to begin a no-nonsense review of this part. Even if half of what is claimed is true an extra 10hp for 140 bucks aint bad...its something. Its still a 7% increase in whp. Im not going to have it dynod but I have been into tuning for a while with diesels and have developed a decent butt dyno and can kinda be aware of what 20hp, 40 hp, 60hp etc feels like. My expectations are low...so here we go....I'll let you know when it comes it.

If you prefer, you can cancel your order and send me the $$$, and I'll just tell you that you gained 4hp

Only playing - won't mind seeing somebody that will actually quit the 5000hp gain with diablow/CAI/TB preaching and put it to the dyno for proof Keep us posted

Don't worry I'll make sure to add the stickers to get ALL the extra 30hp.

Seriously though Im not expecting anything, and personally even if I net 10 hp, thats 7% increase...Im happy.

Well I just finished the install. Install is pretty straightforward although the instructions are to put your stock intake tube through the coupler...kinda dumb and really not a good hold...your basically clamping rubber on rubber...bad hold...oh well i'll fix that later....and now for the good part...
Definate...Definate...mild increase in oomph. After installing and driving it, i think it'd be fare to say that the dyno is probably pretty accurate. Im really happy with the mod. And just for proof to myself, there is a bridge that when I go over at 60 the jeep always downshifts to keep up while on cc. Today...no downshifting...So like i said proof to me. Overall happy with the Slight baby step increase in power.lol

On another note...I usually drive my jeep casually...never really WOT..so today while testing I was gunning it everywhere...i hate admitting it but that engine is soooo gutless. Kinda sad, but oh well

Your erection is going to subside and not last over four hours when I tell you the "Viper" throttle body is the same as what is found on more mundane vehicles like the Commander. Branding it as Viper makes it sell more.

I know its on a bunch of other vehicles...4.7l in specific. I don't care if they called it the jeep compass throttle body...its better than the stock one...I don't care where it came out of...
So whats next...
Depending on how finances go its either going to be ripp headers or sc...since theres no sc for the 11 yet i may just get the headers...I'll be providing dyno results after...so most likely when I dyno it'll be a CAI, Ripp headers, and viper tb...just curious what it yields...
