Just installed RC 3.25 kit-Drive Shaft Question?
I have a 2 door 6 speed manual. I just installed the RC 3.25 kit. I got aproximelty 3.25 inches in the front (front bumper measurment) and 2.25 inches in the rear (rear bumper measure) with about 3 inches in the middle (middle of rock guard measure).
My question is this, Do I need to worry about my Rear driveshaft at all? Should I pull the .75 spacers or will I be ok with this amont of lift and stock driveshaft? I hear a lot about 4 inches needding new driveshaft and 2.5 inches not but not sure about my lift. If I did have to replace driveshaft how much would it cost to get it installed and for the driveshaft and needed control arms? Thanks.

Rc 3.25"
I originally had the RC 2.5" suspension lift and since upgraded with the 3/4" spacers because I added a little extra weight. I netted about 2.5" of lift at the rear and 3.25" in the front. No drive shaft issues that I am aware of. Do make sure you installed the longer sway bar links in the rear and moved the OEM rear to the front. These didn't come with the 2.5" RC lift and I actually flipped the front swaybar and bent a link one time. I have since installed some adjustable links front and rear from Offroad Evolution plus the brake line extension brackets.
My buddy has 4" procomp lift and 35" tires that he has put 25K miles on and offroaded pretty hard and he hasn't had any driveshaft issues. I think most people will tell you you are OK up to 4" unless you are really going to wheel it hard. |

I dont have an RC lift, but have a 5" skyjacker setup and hae had no driveshaft issues in the last 10k+ miles.
I think you should be ok....

I have the OME 3 inch and I adjusted the rear pinion angle using adj upper control arms from Teraflex - have noticed NO problems in almost 15k miles. You should be OK with 3 inches or less - just keep an eye on the Rzeppa joint seals.
