Just a bit of fabbing

Well since I seem to always be fabbing something up for the Jeep I figured why not make a thread to give people ideas on designs and materials to use.

If you make your own armor post it up!

First stubby bumper (Not many pics)
3/16" plate, 3 inner gussets, fog light mounts and .188w stigner
Now owned by Tragyn

Second stubby, a little more plain (again forgot to take pics)

3/16" plate with .188w stigner
Sold

Started like this

Hated design so changed to this

Just finished another tonight. Too dark for installed pics
Stubby, 3/16" plate, 2 gussets, fog light mounts, .188w bull bar with light tabs
Lets see how long this one stays on the JK before being sold

Rear bumper
3/16" plate, lower profile to help not damage body on flex, cross member skid, fits OE hitch

And last for now is the sliders
Fully bolt on, .188w tubing, 3/16" plate for mounts

Your turn

O lets see here..

Made my track bar, tie rod, drag link.

Rear trackbar.

Made all 8 control arms.

Made a hitch cargo rack into a swing out rack

Rear shock relocation.

5 gallon tank holder.

Rock sliders.

These are just a few and some basic info... Some of these pics are obviously not the finished product.

yeah, the front axle side mounts have massive bushings and I was to lazy to weld washers over them or something so i reused that end. Thats the only part i reused... The rest is 1.5 x .250 wall dom on the control arms.

WAY too much to list....lol....keep finding things that need to be changed and or made stronger....
Hey I'm doing a set of rk style arms with metal cloak joints figured I'd combine the best of both and then eliminate bind elsewhere...I'll keep you posted.

Later I'll link but for now this will make a good project...I've got the measurements if you want em, just hit me up.

Yep I know the feeling.....
We ran a local spot here that's NASTY 2 times then went and did lower 13 in superstition last weekend twice...1 day run 1 night run...

Lower 13 claimed 3 buggies 2 jeeps and did LOTS OF DAMAGE.

OK so been busy running this thing last couple weeks...its getting close to where I want it.
Carnage in 2 weeks:
Smashed in rear passenger door
Smashed sliders as well as have rash on top of them from leaning door into rock
Pushed in front passenger door and hinges
Pushed in rear driver side door top from laying it back towards and sideways into canyon wall
Blew a shock
Bent another shock shaft
Then smashed a rear shock (replaced, body, shaft, piston, seals) and ripped a front line
Bent front drive shaft
Twisted up driver side front axle
Smashed in tranny pan now leaking
Dented oil pan still holding strong
Lots and lots of rock rash on sliders and rear quarter panel sliders
Dented front left control arm
Bent drag link up and forward several inches
