jk trans issues

so my wrangler has lost 5th gear. was thinking about putting an auto in.. has any one done this conversion? or am i better off just putting another standard in..

The quickest, easiest, cheapest thing to do is put in a used 6 speed.

Do you know what's wrong with 5th gear?

i have no clue... would grind a little bit when shifting into it but would always work. now the stick goes in the slot but there is no gear.. no grinding or any thing...

You don't have the lifetime powertrain warranty?

If not, I would take it to a transmission shop and see if it may be an easy fix.

i bought it used and from what jeep told me... the life time powertrain is only good to the original owner
