I assume you mean the JK, and I can tell you from multiple first hand experiences, including torrential rains and a heck of a hail storm (both with the top down) that it is very waterproof. The radio acted wierd for one day, but everything else dried out like a champ. No bad smells, no shorts, no problems.

I got caught in heavy rain with my top down once while offroading and I had zero problems with everything...sure everything got really wet and soaked, but just like the TJ and YJ, it did just fine, plus there are drain plugs in this one too.
I mean it's a Jeep. Sure the interior looks fancier when compared to the others, but I'm sure Jeep wouldn't let rain or the elements affect an "off road" vehicle in any way. |

I, too, have been caught in some pretty bad storms. I wish I had pics of the hail piled up on my seats, but I was too worried about trying to get the top up without getting hit by any passing traffic. Got it home and into the garage. The next day it was like nothing had happened. The enitre vehicle was soaked, I didn't pull the plugs or do anything really, and it dried up quickly with no smell. Seems pretty waterproof to me.
