Jk horn sucks but I've got the remedy
Okay so we all know the horn sucks well I did my own thing. I built a new system with a compressor and a actual fire truck horn. I also made my own air manifold with quick connects for airing up tires. I work at a custom metal fab shop so I developed all my own brackets and tank/skid plate.
Here are a few pictures. I need to get the tank powder coated then it's rtr. I had it working with a 2gal tank but I didn't like how it was made. My tank is made with 7g crs it can take a beetling with holding 120psi. Oh I did all of the work welding and all. Yes I am certified and have 8years experience.
The tank has a plate with .375" holes that bolt up to a plate with 3/8-16 PEM fasteners making it easy to do maintenance if needed. The fittings you see now will not be the same fittings when I have the tank and system running.

Where you going to use that? I don't mean to troll and it seems like a really amazing, cool accomplishment and all but sound travels, disturbs neighbors and frightens pedestrians and other drivers.

Well the horn was an addition to the air supply. I used the air mostly for filling mtb tires when and other things when camping and stuff.

Jeepedjeep - like i said very cool. I am impressed with anyone who can design, fabricate, create etc. Just throwing out some concern, knowledge, and maybe making us all think on this a little before we follow the leader. Part of owning a Jeep or any truck or car is responsibility of ownership which includes not causing harm to our respective communities. I think the horn idea is cool but borders on negligence. This reminds me of the thread which discussed the Stinger Bumpers and potential to go through a window in an accident.
WileEki-Ody - Alarm is a great idea.. until mommy accidentally bumps your jeep in the parking lot with a stroller and jr. gets a train horn in the ear, a disabled life due to deafness, and you get a nice lawsuit. Its all fun and games, but you have to use a little foresight. Someone OTHER than a car thief might set your alarm off. Stand in a busy parking lot for 35 minutes and wait for an alarm.
Trains and Fire Trucks have horns like this for a reason. Its a policy of harm v good and an examination of the trade offs. I doubt we could truly justify this other than for a car show, or some other event where we showcase automobile modifications.
That being said - The OEM horn does suck.

I dunno... Friday I was driving home from work. Residential area, typical 2-lane street, and two cars are stopped in the middle of the street, door-to-door. The women drivers were talking to each other. As I pulled up behind the one in my lane, they both looked right at me, and then kept on talking. That horn would have been perfect.

joking and having fun, in an ideal world yes... it would have been. I can think of a lot of ways to move them along which are far worse than blasting a train horn. Ive been there and agree.
I throw my comments out there cause this board is made up of young and old, experienced and inexperienced, maybe young and experienced or old and inexperienced, smart and not so smart, maybe sometimes slightly naive, ignorant of the law, and so forth. Just want to make sure everyone is safe. Some of us rather pay for gears and tires instead of trial attorneys but we don't always think first.
Apologies if you think I am raining on everyone's fun.
