JK Cruise Control add on

Thinking about buying it and installing myself. This seems to be a very good price on it:

2007 - 2011 Jeep Wragler Cruise control Kit All engine sizes

Seek out the part #'s and order from dealer. It will be considerably less. I went the jeepsareus route, and was certainly happy with the product and price (stealership quoted 500)....as the install is less than 20 minutes, HOWEVER afterwards I read a couple of threads where people essentially put together the kit by getting the part #s and just ordering direct. I think the cost reduction was close to 50-60 bucks.

I thought the Jeepsareus price was good considering the kit seems to run about $250 or so from every place else. Thanks for the tip.

tj cruise control

thinking of adding cc to my 06 TJ automatic. Have you looked at your kit yet? Just curious about what you think, and if the controls dash mount, hang from the washer lever, etc. I did find the part numbers for what should be the complete kit by looking at jeepsareus info.

Did you find a factory wiring plug already installed in your jeep? any advice on do or don't would be appreciated.

Jeepsareus is a good price, but you can get a better price by doing it yourself (isn't that the whole point here?). If you want to pay someone 60.00 to put something into a box, feel free. I wish I would have known before I ordered through jeepsareus as I could have put that dough somewhere else in the jeep. just sayin....

I'm not familiar with the TJ, but I don't think it has the same setup as the JK. The JK is a drive-by-wire setup which makes adding CC a simple 30 minute process. The controls are on a seperate stalk which simply screws onto the steering column and plugs in.

The JeepsAreUs price isn't bad but they charge a lot for shipping. I was patient and kept an eye on eBay. The same Mopar kit pops up $20 cheaper. If someone could list out the part numbers, piecing it together is easily the cheapest route.
