Ok, thanks. For everyone else, there are lightweight bumpers, it's all about relevancy. Looking at a 140-180lb 1/4" steel full winch bumper, one might think an aluminum 3/16" mid width might be considered to be "light - weight."

Thanks to N2rock for pointing out that I needed to explain the concept of relevancy!

I've been looking for qa thread exactly like this for my front bumper needs. Happy to see that there are plenty of options out there for those of us who want to retain the stock fog lights.

if you want a light bumper, look no further. These pic's are from Aberle Offroad. They make all Aluminum bumpers. This particular model weighs something like 65LBS.

Does it have impact points that absorb when you hit something. I need something that has a weak point, so the frame won't bend in a fender bender.

I've done a lot off research, and looked at lots of options. Done a lot of flip flopping as well, but I made my pick finally! PSC Brawler Lite, with plate gussets. Ordering it bare. Planning to paint it the color of the Sahara rims, with a touch of blue reflective tape.
