JK 2-Door Interior Pics

For those of you who are interested, here are some 2-Door interior shots I took that include the rear cargo space, rear seat folding up and how difficult it is to get in the rear with the front passenger seat belt in the way. The front is pretty much the same as the 4-Doors

>> Jeep JK 2-Door Interior Pics

One thing that I noticed is that compared to the original press release photos which had the rear seat belts laying across the floor of the tub, the production 2-Door JK I saw had them integrated into the rear seat itself.

Looks like a lot more space than the previous year Wrangler.

Is that your impression after seeing it first hand?

yes and no. there definetly is a bit more space in the rear trunk area but with the addition of a subwoofer, it seems to be about the same. what i was a bit disappointed in was the amount of room the rear passengers had. unlike the tj where there is a ledge directly under the bench, the jk has a slope and the only place for you to put your feet is under the front seats. while there is enough room to do that, it does kind of confine you there and makes you sit a bit funny.

Thanks for the photos WoL.
Does the rear seat remove the same way as in the TJ? (looks like it)
What dealer is that and where?
(I live in SoCal too and am thinking of getting a first hand look at the 2dr)?

yup, it folds up and tumbles just like the TJ's do now. The white and red 2-doors were over at the signal hill dealer and the 2 rubicons were at costa mesa.

I heard the rear subwoofer was easy to remove. Just a clip to disconnect the power and 4 screws or something.

sitting in the rear seats

Did they do away with the slide and tilt function of the old jeeps, which made it easier to get in throught the back? If so, is there enough space to get in?

Thanks for the pics! I saw one of these yesterday as well. With the added width it looks like you get a bit more room in the trunk-ish area than in the TJ series. Overall I'm thrilled.

The "X" that I saw had the 18" wheels on it, and the stance was fantastic. Really makes the X package attractive.

yes, they did away with the slide/tilt seats. and, in my opinion, it's a pain in the but to get in and out of the rear now especially with the seatbelt in the way.
