If it’s on top of the cab, that would affect the performance on off camber situations. Best to keep it low. Also it would be a ***** to say the least if you actually needed it.

Although I don't like all the "Bling" trim & the tire on the side I would support this truck just to assure it was built . The "Bling" would get powder coated black or bedlined and the tire would go on a rear swing bumper . If they had done a semi recessed tire on the pass. side it might have been a little more asthetically balanced . Personally I like the look of the "Nukaiser" much better but ANY truck from Jeep would be a bonus ..........

I'd buy one any way they set it up, if they would produce it. Then change the stuff I don't like. But definitely would have one in my driveway.

I think Jeep should stick with what brought them to the party. They tried trucks and failed.

So, are you saying that the Cherokee was a failure? They quit producing it... What about the 2 door tahoe... Dont make them anymore either...

I dunno - black out the chrome (I don't like that either,) and duplicate the spare tyre on the other side (I use my trucks as work trucks, and pick up all sorts of crap. I often carry two spare tyres - it saves time & trouble.)

@rennypogo - failed at trucks? The Gladiator/Honcho/J-Series full-size was around from the early 1960's (possibly even late 1950's, I'd have to check) until 1988. I know it was at least the early 1960's, because some were equipped with the Kaiser "Tornado" 230ci OHC six (1961-1963.)

So, probably 25-30 years of full-size trucks, and some are still on the road (saw an old J2000 just about an hour ago, in fact. Probably 1968-1970.)

The only failing I can think of was that the J-series never mounted a Diesel engine - a Cummins would be great in a J-series!

Compact pickups? CJ-8/Scrambler (1982-1984?) and MJ Comanche (1986-1992, probably ended production because ChryCo didn't want to compete with their Dakota. Oddly, the Dakota base engine was the AMC 150ci I4 until 2002...)

So, there was overlapping production from, say, 1961-1992. 32 production years, and you think Jeep didn't do a good job with pickups? They have ever since Kaiser owned them...

I think what he is saying , is that JEEP did quite well with pick-ups both full size and mid size . It was more an in house political thing that Chrysler did to promote their Dakota line . The JEEP trucks were and would be well recieved if the parent company would shift focus back to the brand that originally helped save them from the same fate as the other now gone car companies ..... AMC , Kaiser .....etc.
And that because something has been retired does not mean it was a failure ...... ie. the Cherokee ......
Not that I need to defend anyone on here but I also fail to see your logic .....
