Oh don't be a negative Nancy.... It's not a blown up rear end, it's an opportunity to improve it!

Not a problem. Now you can justify that locker and regear you've needed.

That looks like a steering wheel gasket issue. You obviously have no idea how to manage your equipment and beat the **** out of it. Once you learn to respect your vehicle you won't breaks things much.

Not to say that it can't happen to the best of us - because it can! However, you definitely aren't starting off with a good track record!
I fix automated drilling equipment for a living. Typically when we are called to fix a piece of equipment that is beaten like that we quickly conclude that the problem is "between the seat and the wheel." lol Hopefully this isn't so and you're just having some bad luck!
Summary of lessons learned:
1. Watch for high water over air box (CHECK)
2. Watch for unecessarily high RPMs while negotiating hills/obstacles (CHECK)
3. (anxiously awaiting lesson #3)
Just a question: did you discover any damage to the pumpkin housing, pinion, bearing caps, or axle shafts after you cleaned it out?

Dude, tell us the story! You live in a perfect place to wheel, just got the jeep, running some trails, ...
Fill in the blanks. Glad you fixed the 3.8 so cheap, this may be a little more than that.

Abit about when it happened we we're going up a pretty steep hill that IV done before in the Jeep...
Was in 2 gear and no issues really creeping up the back then all of a sudden a huge pop and I was going back down the hill back wards. Finally got it stopped and was abel to put it in 4x4 got it turned around and back down the hill. And towed rest the way out of the trail. Everyone there said it was cause I was in 2 and not 4.
So back to the diff with this being a daily driver is it a good idea to put a locker in the rear if heard that's a big no no. If so what would you recommended for a locker. Only thing good inside is the axel shafts gears are gone, so should I regear now or am I fine to put same gears back in I'm planning to go to 33 later but no bigger.

Plenty of select-able lockers you can get that you can switch on and off making it good for both DD and trail use.
I recommend ARB air select-able lockers.
