Inside color of Hardtop freedom panels

What color are the inside of your hardtop freedom panels?

Mine are black on the inside but the inside of the hardtop is white. I had a 4D loaner and the freedom panels were white on the inside. Just got me wondering why they'd be different.

Maybe the previous owner painted them black for whatever reason.....Do they look painted?

thats what i was figuring. maybe you live in a climate where it would be beneficial to have a black top on the inside and they painted it? i dont know why they wouldnt have painted it all though.

Nope, these aren't painted. It is black plastic.

Weird.

The JK was a Crysler corporate lease.

Interesting. You are saying the inside of the two freedom panels are black but the rest of the hard top inside is white? The two panels must be aftermarket.

I don't see why Jeep would have done it that way (two different colors inside on the same Jeep). My '09s are all white

Simple anwer, the previous owner painted them. Not sure why they wouldn't go ahead and paint the rest of the top though.

The factory finish is white!

The definitely aren't painted. The Jeep was put into service in May '07.

I'll take some pictures tonight. I don't think they're aftermarket because the are the exact same surface and lines as the rest of the hardtop.

I painted mine out black and anyone looking at them would say they are black plastic. The surface is so rough that if you spray with any uniformity they just look like black plastic.
