I got Uconnect working - w/o MyGig

It took awhile but I figured it out. I have installed the factory Uconnect module and it works perfect with the REQ radio (6disc,AM,FM,DVD,Sirius). I took a bunch of photos and will figure a way to get the install posted here. I have an 08 Unlimited but it should work with an 07 as well. The single disc CD radio should work too. I found a lot of the information on this board, dealers, and service techs. Thanks to all.

I have a mygig so I'm curious to know what you did and if it will work with the mygig. That way I don't have to buy the $700 part from Nav-TV.

same here.. my new jeep is on the way and one of the mods i want to do is to get U-connect uo and running... I have the very radio that you speak of on my order..

There is another thread that addresses this. It's a non-chrysler part for about $80 that enables myGig. Dont use this module.

The write up is really nicely done with pics and very detailed directions. I will most certainly be doing this, assuming that it does in fact work with the single disc radio. Thanks!

Input the code into the box, then click download. After that there is a timer that counts down from 60 seconds, then you have to Click to Download again. Basically just follow the directions on the download page.
