how u remove plastic grill on jk to install mesh

Okay. I was able to remove the five plastic rivets on the top of the grill. for the life of me, I don't know how the bottom part comes apart. I don't want to pull on the grill too hard because it is plastic. Any detailed help is appreciated?

Oh, I have an '09 JK. Thanks

Check out THESE series of pictures, they for sure will help you. Use a flat screw driver to gently "ease out" the bottom clips..

Sorry it is from another forum.

Unhook the blinkers, and then grab the bottom and just reef on it. The whole thing will pop out.

Just slip your fingers under the bottom of the grill and give it a good yank. Donít be shy about it either. Start at one end, then the middle and then the other end. If you yank too hard donít worry you wonít damage it. After the first pull youíll have a pretty good idea how hard to pull on the rest of it.
To install it make sure the top of the grill is resting correctly on the top and the sides then line up the tabs on the bottom and tap them in with you hand. Make sure they have popped in all the way.

I grabed the bottom section and gave it a good hard yank, and voila! it came apart.

Thanks everyone for the hint and encouragement

Ahhhhh, there is some sort of poetry in "jerks, grabs, yanks" and "voilas".

Reason I say that is I am usually to timid to do that as past expensive lessons of "snap, crack" and "oh ****" have turned me into a wimp who turned in his "mancard" years ago.
