How much lift for 35" tires, stock 17"wheels, pocket flares?

Hey, how much lift would I need for 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers on stock 17" wheels with Bushwacker Pocket Flares? No rubbing horror stories! I don't want to cut or trim anything.
I need to do it right the first time!

I was looking at Rough Country 4" lift for about $499.00, Daystar combo lift kit 4" for about the same and Superlift 4" for about $630.00.

Do I need to go to 4"?
Are there many problems with certain lifts?

If I can get away with a smaller lift and still have room to move would that be a better choice? I have heard the problems with the driveshaft from lifting too much.

I don't know if I could retain some parts of the original ride or not.

I know about the gears from reading the forums.

Thanks for anyone taking the time to help out a rookie.

Kirk

2 door 4 door? If you want a LCG build this should do it.

TeraFlex Wheel Spacers

A friend of mine runs this setup. Only difference is he has Bushwacker Flats.

You still might have to trim the pinch which is very easy to do. If you dont want to trim get a BFH & a heat gun. Use the heat gun to soften the metal & go to town with the BFH until it flattens out the pinch seem.

No problem that what the forum is for. You also might need some extended bumpstops if you plan on off roading. Which I believe Teraflex makes also.

I'm set up with a Teraflex 4" lift with sway bar disconnects with 35x12.50x17 on 17x9 Moto Metal 909 Skulls and 1.5" Spidertrax wheel spacers. Everything works great.

Depending on what you want to spend... I spent $140 on a 2" BB from Daystar and can easily run 35's, I went with 33's due to the fact most of my driving is city

Depends on how or if you wheel. You could get by with 35's on a stock height JK with spacer and those flares. If you are looking to do ANY offroading, you will need to look into a lift. If your trying to do it cheap, look at some of the Budget Bost kits or entry level kits. If you go with the 4" lift your looking at, your going to be looking at doing a lot more than just a lift! Driveshafts will be in your future and if budget is in mind than you may not want to go down that road just to clear 35's.

Let me know if we can help! Feel free to PM us or shoot me a email!
