How to cut stock fender flares

I've searched but can't find it.

Does anyone have a write-up on how to do cut the stock fender flares?

Just tape em off and cut em( cut mine with sabre saw).I cut mine while still on Jeep. The rear I took the inner liner out.
On the front I just trimmed to edge of body to keep some debris off engine. Also trimmed front support to give a little strength to fender .And someplace to mount LED
marker/turn signal.

And your left over parts in the trash

Just take your time and stand back ,walk around look at it from all angles.BEFORE ANY CUTS!!!!

Going to do this in a couple weeks. Also going to do a front stubby bumper using the rivet method.

I aggree just use tape measure them off to make sure there even the sky's the limit on styles. Heres mine, I copied the cut from a guy online, lots of clearance and I think they look mean also I think you mentioned a stubby bumper. I just hacked it off with a reciprocating saw at an angle and it was really easy! Good luck. Also I painted the rivits with black spray paint other wise it looked like rhinestones

Wow... this is an old thread.

You can find the marker LEDs at you local Truck Stop (Love's, Flying J, etc.) or Truck Dealership (International, Peterbuilt, Mack, etc.). Offroad road shops do carry them as well, but they usually can't beat the Truck Stop prices.

I got mine at Wal Mart in the auto parts section and the boating .They are the 5 LED bulbs. Were just $6 each put them on little L bracket then self tapping srews to the upper fender support.

This looks awesome. It looks like you have a smooth maybe 1/4" edge around where you cut? Is that something you did by sanding, or some other treatment?

Thank you,

I did this mod tonight on a buddy's Jeep and we took lots of video. By the time the video is edited, we should have a nice step by step.
