Hitch Wiring - How to mount wires on hitch

2009 JK -- I got the Hidden Hitch receiver mount (Hidden Hitch 87424 - Hidden Hitch Class III 2" Receiver Hitch for 07-09 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec) and the T connector for the wires (Hidden Hitch 118416 - Hidden Hitch T-One Connector Assembly for 07-09 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec). Both installed w/out a problem. However, how do I mount/attach the wires to the hitch? I can't imagine I just zip-tie the wires to the hitch.

What part am I missing?

I have a 7 pin connector too - I also drilled a hole in the bumper and mounted it there. I drilled & tapped 4 mounting holes for the bolts and screwed them tight.

I have the 4 pin version. There is nothing to use on the harness to screw through that I can tell.

If you have not installed it yet, take it back and get a Mopar 7-pin version (one source: http://www.conquestauto.com/servlet/the-9294/Jeep-Wrangler-07-dsh-09-JK/Detail). More flexible applications - extra lights, electrical brakes, battery charger, etc. When using with a 4-pin trailer, you can use an adapter that costs a few bucks at Walmart, and just plugs in.

But, if you don't want to do that... then what I have seen a LOT of people do is ziptie it to something - the hitch, or otherwise.

My Jeep came with the 4-pin connector (trailer/towing package), and it has a little bracket of sorts that the 4-pin thing slides into and holds it there. I dunno if you can get such a thing aftermarket or not.

I just bought the mopar wiring harness and draw-tite hitch a couple of weeks ago. The hitch had a spot on it for a bracket with three holes in it. I just ran a tie rap through two of the holes and cinched it down on the four wire plug in the region where it would clip into the factory hitch. It works fine like that. I can take a picture of it if it will help.

Found this Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat 18144 : Trailer hitch bike rack and trailer hitches - etrailer.com so I figured I'd give it a try. Kills me to spend more in shipping than the product costs, but I couldn't find it cheaper elsewhere. Wish Amazon had it, I get free shipping w/them. Oh well. :-)
