Help, i'm trapped. Well not yet.

Not sure if this is in the owner’s manual, (too lazy to look – just being honest) but how would you get out of your Jeep if the power went out and you were locked inside? Assuming you have the power windows and locks of course.

you would press the circle lever on your door to unlock it and get out.

Such a simple answer.
How do you feel now!

Some people have added a pull cord for the inside of the tail gate.

Pop out the Freedom panel and exit via the roof if you have a hard top.

Use a key and slash through the soft top or spend time using a tool to unzip the soft top window from the inside.

Or you could just unlock the door manually.

LOL this thread rocks.

If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them.

My Build Thread:http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f177/...96-xj-1007038/

New Mexico Driving Rules...
  • As a general rule, the vehicle most in need of a significant amount of bodywork (for which the driver is most likely uninsured) always has the right of way.
  • Never use directional signals when changing lanes. They only serve to give away your next move, causing most NM drivers to speed up and not let you in. In fact, use of directional signals within most large NM city limits is actual illegal.
  • NM law states that at least 50% of all paved surfaces within the state must be under construction at any one time. In all construction zones, at least half of the available lanes must be closed, regardless of whether any actual construction is be accomplished or not. Construction signs shall be regularly repositioned in order to warn drivers about upcoming lane closures immediately after they pass the last exit before traffic backups.
  • Driving through constructions zones with upcoming lane closures is a popular game in NM. It’s called the "speed up and pass as many cars as you can, then see how close to the lane closure you can squeeze back into traffic before hitting any of the orange construction barrels" game.

Heh Heh, yup, I put it in last summer when we slept in the JK and I didn't like shifting around to get out the rear doors

You know, children in the back--for the same reason none of the auto mfg put an internal handle release, in their SUV's vans-etc

It's pretty simple, you can get the emerg. brake cable assy (knob, cable, brackets) for $20 bucks at any auto store and once you take that black vent off-look in there and you can see how easy it is, to hook up a release !!
