ok im gonna check the codes thing now. Where is the starter at? All the fuses were fine. The engine bay is bone dry. I can't see anything disconnected. When I crank it it revs to like 500 RPMs and dies just as quick.

Ok no codes. Just says done. No water in the oil when I checked the dipstick. Guess I'm gonna have to get her towed in the morning. Hope warranty will cover whatever the problem is.

I beleive it is on the underside of the engine on the drivers side but I can't verify right now as jeep is not home.

In the morning it will more than likey have dried out so if the wiring did not give then it should start. not so sure that is the issue now that you said it got to 500 rpm then went away. try it in a few hours as it sounds like where ever the water is preventing the connection might be drying out.

Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. Still wouldn't start. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will have it towed to the stealership in the morning.

Let this be a lesson. That's why you drive through deep water SLOW. Jeep or not, that's just poor form.

Oh, I don't know.....

There's this intersection by my house.....every time it rains, two of the lanes get a BIG puddle of water......and the oncoming traffic stops right by it. If you were in one of those cars, the big arse puddle would start by your left front tire and go all the way to the other curb.

In the summer, if you're lucky, you can catch a converible sitting there at the light as you blast through.....

Yeah, I know....that's mean as h3ll......but sometimes it's so funny...like the time I caught a car full of high school girls....the screams were priceless.

I had the same problem last month. Mine turned out to be hydolocked. It doesn't take much. When it happened I checked the dipstick and no water. I pulled the plugs and and there it was. Only a couple drops of water. Only on two of the plugs. Hope it isn't but sounds like it. You can also try to manually turn it to see. I would take out plugs and empty oil first.

If it is turning over it is not hydrolocked unless the rods already broke.

what I was suggesting earlier on checking the oil was remove it. I mean drain it, take it out and replace. Then pull all the spark plugs and check carefully each one as you take out.

Then with the plugs out try to crank the engine to blow out the water. If you take the plug wires off you should also check that they are not wet as this can cause the effect you mention.

good luck and post up what is found or the stealership finds. I'd do these minimal thing before letting them even smell the engine. I don't trust their diagnostic skills for the majority of the mechanics at the dealerships. First thing is ask who is the master mechanic and request he is the only one that checks it over.
