hazard switch dash light wire?

I am wiring up my compressor for my lockers. everything is done except the dash light wire. I want to tie into my dash light wire that goes into the hazard/esp switch panel. The problem is I don't have a meter here at home so I can't check which wire gets 12v when the lights are on. I have 4 wires into the connector, a red, a white/black, a white/blue and a black/white... does anyone know which ties to the dash lights? I don't have a service manual either maybe someone with one can look it up for me?

Thanks,

Don't mess with them. They are power, ground, and 2 network wires. You cannot access the light directly unless you break open the switch module. Much easier to add a light somewhere.

OK. I am really just trying to pick up a wire for my switches so the lighting comes on with the dash lights when I turn on my headlights. This was just the closest location where I found a connector. Any suggestions where I can pick up the dash lights fairly easily?

Thanks

In the old days , I would have done what you wanted to do with the hazad light switch, as already mentioned , everything is on a buss computer wire which works via pulses, saving on the amount of wire needed , using one wire for multiple usues. If I were you , I would run a wire right through the fire wall, into one of the front parking lights, there should be three wires there, take a multimeter , and after turning on and off the parking lights , you will find the wire you are looking for, use one of those plastic wire taps to connect your wire to the Jeeps live parking light wire. The driver's side has 2 areas where you can run the wire through the fire wall easily. one is under the drivers side dash board near the footwell area , you will se an existing black groumet, and you also have the drivers' side near the dash mounted front tweater speaker behind the dash, remove the driver's side dashboard pannel with a small screwdriver , and you will see a hole with a creme colored foam, tape a piece of wire to a coat hanger and gently pass it through from the interior side into the hood of the vehicle, then wire it up to the drivers side front parking light,, and you are done, very easy, should take less than an hour. Hope this helps. Use some wire loom or heat shrink tubing when entering the engine bay, to stop any contact with the wire causing a short, from any sharp metal points. This is the same method that PIAA and many other foglight companis use to get to this kind of wire for many reasons.

PS , use one of the existing ground pegs already inside the interior for the ground wire, if you already have not done so.
