Hardtop Leaks...

A friend of mine has an 08 wrangler 2-door and has had it into the shop 3 times recently because of rear window leaks... Is anyone else having this problem with their hardtop? I was thinking about getting a hardtop for mine, but if this is a recurring issue, I'm not so sure I want to since I'm not having any problems with the softtop on my 08...

Thanks for any input

No leak in the rear part, mine leaks in the front. Heading for lemon or buyback at this point, sick of Chrysler not getting back to me.

Once again I'll mention the words, class action lawsuit. It's the ONLY language corporations react to when they're wrong. And NO "I'm not a practicing attorney. Was, but NO more. And before someone hear laughs at my suggestion all I can say is wait until an injustice happens to them. Then it's totally different. They then become the first ones *****ing/suing. Heard it, seen it, experienced it, first hand, for many a year.

I have a 2008 2 door that I picked in March, 2008. I guess that I am one of the lucky ones, with all the snow this winter and running it thru a car wash, No Leaks yet.

Mine leaked too and I had the dealer replace the lower rear window seal. I also smoothed out where the rear gate skin folds on the corners. There was a little build up of paint that wouldn't allow the seal to have full contact. Most dealers use a leak specialist that put bandaids on leaks, I would have them replace the seal.

check out the local lemon law, grab a lawyer if youre eligible. make sure you have all of your proper documentation and whatnot before contacting the lawyer too.

Is everyone having issues with the hardtop leaking on the Freedom top or do some of you have the Bestop Hardtop and also have issues with leaks?

Have him take it back to the dealer and and if they have not been able to fix it have him call the STAR center and get a hold of engineering they will fix it even if they have to send someone to the vehicle.
