Hard Top Removal/ Wiring Harness in Rear Removal

Hi all,

I just bought my 2007 JK Sahara and the button is broken on the wiring harness so I can't take off my Hard top!

Does anybody know how to remove the wiring harness with the button broken?

Can I rig it off somehow?

If its anything like the one for the doors I would think you can just get a slotted screwdriver or something in there and slide it off. Just a guess though as i have the soft top.

That's what I would do. I'd probably also break the latch piece off because I wouldn't want to mess with it every time. Mine fits pretty snugly, I don't think it would fall out. Your mileage may vary.

Agreed, I haven't broken mine off but I'm damned near about to. I can never remember if I locked that little red tab or not the last time I put the doors back on and I wrestle with it for a few frustrating minutes.

Even without the little red tab you still have to depress the tab on the plug itself to separate them. So no, the red tab isnít really necessary.
