Grill Inserts/Air Intake

Hey guys, I'm new here so I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but I have a question about grills inserts for my 2011 JK. I saw this project on Reddit and I was thinking about doing the same thing with an American flag-look to it. http://imgur.com/a/34tGj#4 My only worry was that this might hinder airflow. Anyone have any opinions on this?

It is my considered OPINION, that with a grill work that dense, it will impede air flow...there are other materials that are not so dense that would be better IMO.

Doesn't look too dense for me, but what do I know about it

I like the idea of the flag.

I used the same stuff (security door screen), it's not as dense as it looks....less restrictive than the Drake inserts we have on our other jeep.
