Okay, you asked for an opnion, so here's what you get: I don't like the Rescue Green. Of all the colors, I think only Silver and White are near as bad, and that's because they're too plain Every second car here is silver and every third is white. I'd want a color that was different. I don't see why anyone would buy Rescue Green since it's not "earthy" enough for a Jeep and not bright enough to be a standout signature color.

But my wife liked the Rescue Green better than anything except the black. My alternate choices would have been blue, red and Jeep Green, in that order. The only thing I find worse than Rescue Green is a black with a khaki top.

You'll love the Rescue Green, go for it.

If you don't like it, then you don't like it. It's just that simple. You said it yourself, "like i really like the color....but in another aspect i really dont." That says it all. Go with the Jeep Green if you want a Green JK.

I too am interested in getting Rescue green, and i found out why i didnt like it at times.

...The only rescue greens I see are in Saharas with the body colored fenders. i HATE the rescue green when it has body colored fenders... Either a Rubi or an X with the black fenders really adds a bit of contrast and makes it bonafide SEXAY.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I happen to think that the Red Rock is the best color for the JK. That is the color of my Sahara and, when it arrived, the color looked even better in person than it did in photos.

Please tell us what is it about the Rescue Green that you like and then don't like, 97jpzj?

I didn't care for it at first but the more jeeps I see in that color, the more I like it. I think it would have been my second choice, behind the Red Rock.

IMO, Black and Jeep Green are the most common Jeep colors. So, if you want to blend in with the jeep crowd, those would be good choices. But if you wanted to stand out a little bit and don't really give a rodent's rectum about such things, by all means, pick the color YOU like!

I'm in the same boat. My local dealer has 3 , 4 door wranglers that I want. Black, Rescue green, and red rock.

The black looks best, but I don't like the options, the red rock has the best price but I don't care for that color. The rescue green, is middle ground, some options I want, but then it has things like power windows which I don't want, and can't justify paying for....but that color.....looks good on some days and other days I hate it.

But there isn't much to choose from in my area that's a 6 speed.

YOu don't have to choose from just what is on the lot. Personally, I don't like Saharas specifically because of the painted fenders, with the exception of a black Sahara with a khaki interior. Red Rock and Jeep Green are OK for a Sahara. Rescue Green is so bold that it needs something to contrast with. I ordered a Rescue Green Unlimited XS and I'm putting black wheels on it, so I think the contrast will be good and still stand out from the crowd. Some Sahara owners have complained about chipped paint on the fenders, which is another consideration.

In the end, it's an individual choice. Nobody can say that a certain color is the be all, end all color and everything else is rubbish. If someone does, they are full of themselves. What I like and what you like may not be the same thing. It's not like it's a simple math problem with a single answer.

Also, who cares what anyone else thinks. All that matters is what you think. That being said, if you want my opinion, my top four choices for colors in order are

X or Rubicon in Rescue Green with gray interior
X or Rubicon in White with gray interior
Sahara in Black with khaki interior
X or Rubicon in Red Rock with gray interior

The other colors to me are ok. My least favorite color is Steele Blue, especially on an X or Rubicon.

I think Rescue Green looks nice now but in a few years it would be like "What the heck was I thinking"
