Yes its going to be an option and infact they will be trying to produce just as many as the gassers.

There will be no diesels in the US, as it is, the Liberty's diesel is going bye-bye.

I thought it was just going until they redesign it to US spec.

I would think the new 3.0L diesel thats going in the WK would be a possibility in the JK at some point.

With all the new desiel tech the DC is playing with I could think that some of it would be prefict and wind up in these newer Jeeps.

according to Jeep, the 2.8 liter diesel will be only available as an option for export vehicles only
