Gieco buying my JK a bumper

So my JK ate that cop cruiser a few months back. Came out of the deal with a few scuffs on my stock bumper, which the adjuster rates as $900 in damage.

I'm going to put that towards a more expensive recovery bumper than I otherwise would have bought. It's time to get on with the real mods around here.

Any crazy new bumpers come out recently? I'm looking for the best stubby-mid I can get for under a grand.

Try ACE, they have great products, awesome lifetime warranty and the prices are basically 1/2 of what others charge.

We just designed several new bumpers. They will be online tomorrow around noon with pricing. We have a few of each in stock right now.

OK so you want a stubby bumper. Now you have to decide on a couple more things.

1. Do you have stock fog lights, do you want to keep them in your new bumper?

2. Do you plan on buying a winch at some point. If so which one? Not all bumpers will take all winch's. Also on some bumpers the winch sits up high, which could block air flow to the engine. Other bumpers the winch sits low inside the bumper.

Answer these questions and we can help you out better.

One other thing. If you still have a loan on your JK, the insurance company will either issue payment to a shop or to you AND your loan holder.

If you have plan on ordering a bumper and installing it your self that might be a problem.

Front bumpers aren't that expensive so you can buy whatever you like. Expedition one, Poison Spyder, River Raider Off-Road. Heck, I even like Smittybilt's new front bumper:

Excellent advice, doing otherwise could ruing your day.

OP, if you plan on running the PowerPlant be very careful because a lot of the bumpers available will not work without modification.

I do have fogs, I do want to keep them, and I do plan to slap a winch on. I don't have the budget for a winch immediately, and I don't know what it'll be. I'm a big quality guy so it could end up being Warn or something along those lines. Thanks for the input!

I believe the payment will be issued to the shop. I'm having them put it on for me, since the money can go towards labor just as well as it can for parts.
