Getting a Hard Top After Original Purchase?

I'm debating on whether to go ahead and get the hard top for my new Unlimited.

Quadratec has the Bestop one for $2460 (ouch).

That said, anyone have any idea of what the OEM one costs?

Beyond ebay, what's my best bet in terms of finding a lower price? For OEM, do some dealers sell things like this for less than others?

As for Bestop, I've generally done well through Quadratec (no shipping - I live right down the street...), but I'll look around.

Thanks!

Just a thought. When you order the hardtop in dual top group, you will get all of the front switches for the rear wiper, defroster etc. I have also heard that the jeep is smart enought to know whether is has a hard top, soft or both. It requires a reflash of the ecm to get it to recognize. I would just order the dual top group from the factory and have everything under warranty. Just my 2 cents worth though.

Understood... and good advice for anyone considering a purchase... unfortunately I bought mine from dealer stock and didn't order it, thus no possibility to include the dual top group...

The decision regarding the top(s) was the one thing that I questioned when buying one off the lot. No regrets, but I still would like to snag a hard top.

i dont think your going to find a much lower price because there arent any used ones out there yet.

And like he said, if you get the rear wiper or deforst, the jeep ecu will need to be flashed by the dealer or else they wont work. The days of just plugging it in are gone
