I just finished installing the Genesis dual battery hook up. Used a new RED Top and Yellow Top. This is a great hookup, and relatively easy to install
it just takes time. The hardest thing about the 2013 install was cutting the batter tray.

FYI: Sears Diehard Platinum Marine battery (size 34M) on sale until 2-09-2014 *ONLINE ONLY*. $46 off. In store pickup only.

Sears calls the discount a "deal heist" and the amount is different based on what you purchase, but I did see that it is available on other batteries in different amounts. There is not a coupon code.

The 34M works with the Genesis dual battery setup.

If you try to order 2, the Sears website may tell you that it is not available at the store you have selected. Change the quantity to 1 and try again. I had to purchase from 2 different stores. Luckily, I have 2 Sears locations within 15 minutes of each other.

Also, if you have a account you can get an additional 3% off of your purchase.

Rock on!

Just released!

Ill definitely be installing this.

You already know that Genesis Offroad makes the best dual battery kit on the market. Now it is getting even better. Our customers have been asking for a nice simple voltage monitoring system for a while. After months of research and R&D, we are very proud to introduce The G Screen. We are launching this new device at Jeep Beach 2014 in Daytona, FL on 4/25.

The idea was simple. Putting it into one small, easy to use package, not so simple. We didn’t want to have just another plain, boring volt meter, so we went to the drawing board and mapped out everything we would want in a monitoring system. What we came up with is a sleek, high tech, simple to use device, in a tiny package.

The G Screen is an intelligent monitoring system that has 3 main function in 1 device.

1. Monitor voltage levels of your main battery and your auxillary battery

2. Remote status indicator, so you can see if your batteries are connected or disconnected. This uses the white wire on the smart isolator to change the backlight color for a visual representation of your batteries. A green background means the batteries are charged and above 12.7 volts. Yellow means that at least one battery is below 12.7 volts, and the smart isolator has disconnected them in order to protect your cranking battery. Red means that at least one battery is at 11.9 volts or less, indicating that you need to crank up as soon as possible to avoid draining that battery down too low.

3. Remote boost switch – yes, our dual battery kit comes with a boost switch already installed and prewired on the top lid, but there may be times when you don’t feel like, or don’t have time, to get out and pop the hood to hit the boost switch. Now you can hit a virtual boost switch on the dash to temporarily link your batteries together. The boost screen also shows the green/yellow/red indicators.

This new monitoring system comes in a tiny package that is barely over 1″ square, making it easy to mount onto your dash or any other custom location.

More details including pricing will be coming soon. We expect to be shipping within a few weeks. Keep an eye on our facebook page for more announcements!

For those of you that are looking to add this kit to your rig Genesis has redesigned their top plate to include a port for a simple plug and play option to add the G screen.

Here is the new plug in port for the G screen.

Now the GScreen is a product I love! Genesis came out with their dual kit after I already had a kit. So not using THEIR product and would have. However this controller will also work on the cole hersee isolators in the other kit(s)! I currently run my boost (force connect) via the SPod and encountered an issue where the spod powered down (low voltage protect) and was unable to force boost for jump start when BOTH batteries went below voltage (long story on why THAT happened - and I only had to open the hood and use a short 18G wire to get them together and enough to crank)! This eliminates that issue and free up that SPod port for my planned freezer install... way cool - gonna watch the price on this and get it on the shelf for next spring's setup.
