life expectancy of the batteries

finding a mechanic that can actually fix one
they require traffic jam stop and go driving to get the regenerative braking advantage.
very little benefit for highway driving.
loss of useful space to the batteries
safety concerns about crashing or 4x4ing with large batteries.
Still uses fossil fuel

Stick a VW TDI diesel in a Toyota Prius and it will probably get better “real world” fuel economy than the hybrid.
