Full package

Anyone have any suggestions for the least expensive way to have the the best of all worlds? If you have the dual top option, what would be the best way to add half-doors and windows that would still work with the factory soft top? (color matched)

if you really want half doors, get them from the factory... it will be easier to find a jeep in the junkyard with full manual doors later.

if you really want the power group, get full doors, you will have to find a set of hlaf doors or get the bestop versions later.

Both the half doors and full doors are removable, giving you the option to have no doors. It's really not a problem.

OK, so I think you just answered my question. Bestop has them. I could have sworn I looked on their site. I'll check again... Gracias!

Problem with plan A is half doors aren't an option with the dual top.

For me, there is not a huge appeal to taking the doors off - but I tried it once just to check it out. I didn't see what the big deal is. If you're going to drive over boulders or something, ok. But for daily use around town - I don't get it.

But I did notice during my little experiment that not having the mirror on the door was very strange. I kept looking over at it and didn't see anything! There are various alternatives available (mirror relocation solutions) to get around this problem, which is something you definitely want to do for city driving (but then, as I said, why bother taking doors off in the city?). Also, some states REQUIRE a mirror - in which case a relo bracket is a necessity.

Ok well this summer its all coming off, all 4 and the roof. ill get somthing made for the mirrors. But i dont understand people who have jeeps and leave the doors on, in the summer you gotta be free it might not be the most appealing thing but its a JEEP!! but i guess to each his own

My God it's friggin liberating/exhilarating! It's as close to riding a motorcycle as you can get without having to worry about bumping a curb or having some dumba$$ not see you and clip you!

well now im even more excited, i think it would be pretty sweet to drive through the mountains with no doors, just look out your door and see a 300 foot drop.

Cause it can get COLD for one thing. See attached chart for our average high and low temps. No doors also equals less side protection - an issue for some people. Other people just don't feel comfortable (I know my wife doesn't like it very much).

Generally speaking, if I want to ride doorless, I'll just ride my motorcycle. It gets a lot better mileage anyway (:

Also why they give them doors (:

Although, I have to confess - I do have an itch to take the top off, take the doors off, and get a picture in front of the time & temp sign at the airport as it displays "-40" (:
