Hey guys,

I have an '07 Rescue Green 2-Dr, looking to trade my full steel doors which are in perfect mint condition for someone else who has Rescue Green Half Steel Doors with Black soft uppers. I know my fulls cost more, but with either option costing the same from the factory, I have no problem letting go of my fulls as long as the halves are in good condition.



My question is though, that I haven't been getting many responses. Is there a hardware issue with swapping doors? Any reason why doors would be incompatible. My doors are manual crank so the other jeep wouldn't need any wiring. But I'd hate to be trying to trade and having a problem I didn't know about.

i feel you are being very reasonable in your offer however there isn't a lot of half doors out there especially when you need a specific color. Some people would not want to go through the trouble of switching out the locks no matter how bad they wanted full steels. Be patient and the right person will come along. Someone out there is looking for you.

Isn't the VIN number etched or stickered on your door? If you swap doors with someone else, the VIN's won't match up.

Not good when you sell it, but then again, who'd look? :/

Who said I ever plan on selling my baby? lol, though in seriousness you just tell the person you traded doors, not uncommon for Jeeps. I was planning on swapping the stickers on the door anyway though, just so any specific information remains with the original jeeps.

Anyone interested or know anyone who may be?

Check out half doors on ebay. Wrong color, but they are half doors with a gent wanting a swap.

I'd love to go for something like that, but I'm looking for a swap mainly because my budget isn't allowing too large of a purchase. Even swapping with different colors, I'd then have to get the doors repainted at extra $$$.

What I'm looking for is a straight-up trade with rescue green. Maybe I'll get lucky and find someone who wants the same thing as me(in reverse).

VIN stickers are constructed to effectively destroy themselves if removed. Pretty much defeats the purpose t have them if you can just peel and stick to move them around.
