Fuel Door. RR or Mopar???

Does anyone have any experience with the Rugged Ridge locking fuel door cover? I'm not sure about just screwing it to the existing plastic insert. Is it sturdy? Or, should I just go with the Mopar Fuel Door?

The wife wanted to know what I wanted for Valentines Day
and I found the RR door on Amazon for a decent price

I've found a few Mopar doors on Ebay, but they are mostly from china....

The Mopar one is much better. If you need a lock get a locking cap.

I have the locking one from Rugged Ridge: Cheap made, lock fell out, lock did not work well when new, door will not stay closed since the lock fell out. I would say get the Mopar one.

Ironically Rugged Ridge is a division of Omix-Ada, who also makes several accessories for Mopar.

The fuel door is luckily not one of them. The Mopar one is spring loaded to stay closed, so no latch to break or fall out. The Rugged Ridge is notorious for a bad lock, which is the latch as well.

Yea. I have Rugged Ridge: 8500lb Winch (yet to let me down), front and rear bumpers(no complaints) with tire carrier (so so product) and front Pre-Runner (Nice), Sliders (junk), Mirror relocation brackets(which are junk) removed and sitting on shelf, Gas tank door (Junk), Outer Axle Tube seals (seem good not much to go wrong), interior Grab handles (really nice), Floor mats (they were free but nice), handle recesses (no complaints), All of the listed above are Rugged Ridge products I own and have to say I am reasonable happy, and they do make some pretty good stuff.

Get the Mopar, and while you're at it, get the ignition-keyed fuel tank locking cap and the ignition-keyed front hood lock.
One key for every exterior lock.
