Has anyone added or modified passenger seat to work like drivers seat with manual UP / DOWN MOTION ?

Look for UK or Australian driver seats for sale. It'll cost an arm and a leg to ship but if that's important to you then there ya go. I think modding the passenger seat would result in failure in which case you would have to buy a new seat anyhow.

Hey now thats a good idea - I agree hacking up the seat would be the hard way - but a boneyard seat could be built up and the OEM covers put on it...

(just don't get it from Al's - the working dogs will chase your Jeep for the rest of its natural life - inside joke - I see where you're from so you should understand)

The wagon should, of course, be as light as possible, but strength should not be sacrificed to lightness, for on any but the regularly traveled roads, the wagon will get many a hard knock...

Passenger seat elevation modification

To all those who provided idea to look for UK or AUS seat thank you. But you triggered another idea, Jeep makes a RHD right hand drive model, many dealers show inventory, I am going to try and buy the passenger seat for a right hand drive model. Thank you for shaking up my old brain cells.

The passenger seat in a RH drive would be a LEFT seat - non adjustable...

You are looking for the DRIVERS seat in a RH drive...

(good thinking dude! - just not sure the RH driver seat is adjustable... may want to verify that at the dealers parts department before hunting down an out of service RH driver to pull from...)
