I bought the 2009 factory slush mats, they have the jeep logo with tire tread design. Look pretty good for a factory floor mat. $60 on ebay.

I took out my carpet, and threw in some cheapo autozone mats i cut to fit just so I wouldnt bang up the paint.
If I would have left the carpet in, husky all the way.

Same here. Husky’s have been in my last 4 Jeeps. The fronts have the sides way up high. It really helps when your boots are muddy or dusty. If not for the high sides, mud and such would get all over your carpet.

Jeep slush mats are pretty but junk. Hole thru at drivers heel in less than 6 months.

+1 for the Husky
I originally purchased just the front ones. Took the family wheeling one day (me, wife and 12yr twins). When we got home, all I had to do for the front was dump the dirt/mud/sand out of the front Husky's. The rear- took an hour of cleaning I ordered the rear Husky's that day.

Wow! I've had mine 18 months and have over 25,000 miles and can't even tell where my heel sits. Mine have held up great and work great. I also have the husky liner in the rear which works great but is kind of thin if you put anything sharp or jagged on it don't slide it they will rip. I speak from experience.

Have used both Husky and Weathertech, just about the same product and both work great. Went the Mopar floor liner route myself, completely replaces the carpet and kept the stock floor mats. Seems to be holding up pretty well although I don't abuse it, or haven't yet.

What makes a good mat over a bad one? I have some cheap Autozone mats that work fine.

The husky's are molded to the floor pan, so that any water or mud you track in is retained by the mat until you dump it. The typical flat mats still allow water and mud to fall off the sides and end up in your carpet.
I have a set of plain rubbers for the summer, and a set of carpeted ones for the winter (to retain melted snow) from autozone.
