First upgrade

I just purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X (2 door). As a first upgrade I want to add some lift and larger tires. Problem is I want to keep the awesome stock ride. How would a 2 inch spacer lift and 31x10.5 tires on 15x8 Rockcrawler wheels affect this ride? Also how much backspacing is recommended? Would this require any gearing changes? Thanks.

With 2" lift you can fit 33"+ with place to spare. 32" are stock. I am not sure 15" will clear the brakes.

Hmmm. Any wheel recommendations then? I have read about 4 inch backspacing on a lot of rigs.
